Plan Background
The Plan Process started in the summer of 2007 with a public meeting at the Corn Exchange. Over the following months, earlier evidence was reviewed. The ComDev report was re-evaluated; back copies of the Ross Gazette were re-read and relevant topics noted; 88 voluntary organisations were contacted. A clear set of topics emerged. These were written up in an Options Report.
The Steering Group established a number of sub-groups to carry out in-depth consultations:
Topics raised by more than a very few people were distilled into a Questionnaire. Some 4,750 copies were distributed and an on-line version put on the RoWToP website. Remarkably, there were 1,725 valid responses; a 36% rate! Click here to view the Questionnaire.
All of the foregoing was taken into account in drafting the Plan itself.
