Get Involved

Want to help make Ross a better place to live, work and visit?

Your Town Needs You

Attend Meetings:

We happily welcome you to attend our bimonthly meetings of the progress group and get involved with planning and helping Ross-on-Wye to be a better place to live, work, and visit.

The more people get involved, the better the ideas and the quicker things get done, the more the merrier. Details of our next meeting (and previous minutes) are under the tab above.

Got any spare time on your hands?

Time is they say money, and so it is your time that is most valuable to us as you can join us to help make Ross a better place. Recent work that might interest you has included litter picking along some of our footpaths and weeding, planting and tidying up the Blake Memorial Gardens (photographs right) in conjunction with Ross in Bloom, ready in time for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June 2012.

It is a great feeling to do some outdoor physical work and see the huge improvement that can be achieved through a small amount of community work.

See a show at our Cinema?

You asked for it, and we've done it, Ross-on-Wye's own cinema opened in July 2011.

Now it is a case of - use it or loose it.

Spare money?

If you have money to spare, have you considered spending money on a sculpture for the town, we have a few already and are getting quite a reputation for sculptures; or you could purchase a bench seat for the town or down at the riverside.
