31. Youth Facilities - Non Sporting Provision

To improve non-sporting facilities for young people in Ross-on-Wye.

At both of the Planning for Real events held in schools (Brampton Abbotts Church of England Primary School and John Kyrle High School) there was strong participation by students. The non-sporting activity provision that was requested included a cinema, a disco, a youth shelter, indoor games, a bowling alley, an arts and crafts club and rather imaginatively a chocolate factory and an ice cream factory. In the first stage of the consultation that took place November 2007 to January 2008 written submissions were received from students at JKHS requesting a milk bar in Ross that could perhaps be run by students.
